Setting Sail on Princess’s Newest and Largest Ship!
If you’re a fellow cruiser like me, you know the thrill of stepping aboard a brand-new ship! This time, I embarked on a 7-day cruise aboard the Sun Princess, Princess Cruise Line’s newest and largest ship to date. With 21 decks and a passenger capacity of over 4,000, I was initially a bit worried about crowds. But let me tell you—embarkation and disembarkation were seamless! 
My Cabana Mini-Suite: A Game-Changer
We booked a Cabana Mini-Suite, and wow—what a fantastic choice! The room featured:
- A spacious step-out balcony with comfortable lounge chairs.
- An extra enclosed room between the suite and the balcony—perfect for separating activities, whether watching TV, napping, or just relaxing in the A/C.
- Super comfy beds that made every night’s sleep feel like a dream.
Dining: Unlimited Specialty Restaurants with the Premier Package
With our Premier Package, we indulged in unlimited specialty dining across eight different restaurants. One experience with an additional charge was Spellbound, a Victorian-themed dining venue in partnership with The Magic Castle:
- Themed rooms & theatrical cocktails—so fun and so delicious!
- Live magicians performing fantastic card tricks.
- A set menu—the food was unique but tasty!
Of course, I’m a dessert lover, and my favorite treat on board was the berry soufflé at The Catch—heavenly! 
Onboard Fun: Sun, Sanctuary, and Trivia Wins
Even with thousands of passengers, the ship never felt crowded. My daily routine included:
- Relaxing at the Sanctuary Club—an adults-only area with great bar service and no chair-hogging drama.
- Bar crawling (check out my separate blog on this adventure!).
- Nightly trivia—we even came in second place one night!
- Dancing and live music—Princess caters to a more mature crowd, and I loved every second of it.
Exceptional Crew, Spotless Ship & High-Tech Features
One of the absolute best parts of this cruise? The amazing crew! 
Every staff member was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive. From stateroom attendants to bartenders, everyone went above and beyond to make the experience special! 
The ship itself was spotless, with constant cleaning and upkeep. 
The newest technology was everywhere! From super-fast Wi-Fi to easy-to-use digital features that made navigating the ship a breeze!

Final Thoughts: Was Bigger Better?
Absolutely! Despite its size, the Sun Princess never felt overwhelming. I loved the modern technology, the outstanding service, the amazing food, and the lively entertainment. If you’re hesitant about a large ship—don’t be! This cruise exceeded my expectations, and I’d sail on the Sun Princess again in a heartbeat.
