Once Upon a Time… at Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival
Every great fairy tale starts with a little magic, and this one began with my return to Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival—something I first fell in love with when I was just 12 years old. Back then, I was mesmerized by the floral Disney characters, and let me tell you—this year, the magic was in full bloom!

From the moment I stepped into Epcot, it felt like stepping into an enchanted garden. Everywhere you turned, beloved Disney characters had been transformed into stunning topiaries. My absolute favorites? Thumper (I’ve always had a soft spot for bunnies
), the Seven Dwarfs, Peter Pan, and of course, Tinkerbell—who even inspired a little shopping spree. I mean, how could I resist grabbing Tinkerbell ears and a sweatshirt from the brand-new merchandise launch?

Royal Feasting Fit for a Princess
No royal adventure is complete without a delicious meal, and we found ours at Teppan Edo in the Japan pavilion. If you’ve never been, it’s a hibachi-style dining experience where the chefs put on an exciting show while preparing your meal. And let me tell you—it was as fun as watching Lumière’s “Be Our Guest” performance!

Guardians of the Galaxy: A Thrilling Adventure!
Even a princess needs a bit of adventure, so we braved the 60-minute wait for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. But with my granddaughter by my side teaching me a TikTok dance (which I did not execute gracefully, lol
), the wait time flew by! Not all of us have professional dance skills, but we sure had a blast trying!
And of course, no visit would be complete without a ride on Soarin’—because let’s be honest, it never gets old!

Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo! A Perfect Disney Day
With the Florida sunshine kissing our faces and the festival in full bloom, I couldn’t have asked for a more storybook-perfect day. Though we didn’t stay for the nighttime festivities, we did continue our adventure at Disney Springs, where we met up with family for some delicious ice cream.
